The Denver Museum of Nature and Science Project consisted of an approximate 125,000 square foot, five level addition to the existing building. This addition allowed for the accommodation of an Education and Collections Facility (ECF) as well as the science learning environment and temporary exhibit gallery to be included in the museum.

The ECF addition houses 37,000 objects that the museum patrons are able to interact with. The programs also include on-site and off-site educational experiences to explore the natural world. As well, the addition houses the temporary exhibits showcased within the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
