The Stonegate Village Metropolitan District Wastewater Treatment Facility Project was an upgrade to an existing 1.1 MGD conventional activated sludge plant, with a total of 13,500 square feet. The upgrades included installing a membrane bioreactor system to better treat effluent discharging to the Cherry Creek Basin, a new fine screening system, influent pumping, new secondary process train, high speed turbo blowers, new aerobic digestion process, screw press dewatering system, renovations to all existing buildings and many site upgrades.
